Anyone Use Ace Hardware Ammonia For A Fishles Cycle?

Well I bought a new ammonia for a fishless cycle since the old one had surfactant. But I don’t know if the Ace hardware has any other ingrediants also since there were no ingrediants section on the bottle. But I heard it was fine and it also has no foam when shaken. So has anyone used this and is it safe to use?

  2. Ace hardware ammonia is fine.
One and a half teaspoons is a little much.
More like a quarter of a teaspoon.
    Or less.
    I used about a teaspoon a day for a 125 gallon–sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less.
BTW, good for you for using ammonia for your fishless cycle!
I think it’s the greatest method on earth!

  3. Ya I have ace is safe. It took along time to cycle though, about a month. So I gave up an stopped using the ammonia for a week then it cycled. I must been using to much or somthing.
Add a drop or two a day not very much at all.
