It is commonly thought like with the beatles and Kurt Cobain that if you are on drugs you make great music…. But was Beethoven? Mozart? on drugs too? do you think it is easier to make great music while being high?

i think they may have used opium but i dont know
For some people drugs can bring out creativity (Bradley Nowell of Sublime, etc)…also many great songs have been written about drug use (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Cocaine, White Rabbit, etc, etc) On the other hand drugs have been the ruin of many muscians that had the potential to make more great music (Layne Staley, Jimi Hendrix, etc)…it’s a tossup that will likely continue as long as music is created.
drugs do not make people creative they turn into statistics and criminals, you either have talent or you don’t
Uhhh……..no way…….you just need a talented and fresh mind; and some paitence, THEN you can make good music…..
hell no
it does help
