Compared to naturally-conceived children, is there a higher rate of birth of multiples for pregnancies as a result of fertility drugs or in-vitro?
Have any tests or polls been taken that would have produced results in numbers/percents?
I appreciate the info!

20-40% of IVF pregnancies result in multiples.
read this it will tell you all about ithttp://www.pregnancy-info.net/infertilit…
Maggie: Actually, Jon and Kate used IUI (intrauterine insemination). They conceived twins and went back for one more and they conceived 7 babies, not 6. One of the babies did not develop so they ended up with 6.
Every time you use fertility treatments you’re at a risk for multiples but keep in mind that many, many couples use drugs like clomid and also get IUI or IVF and they do not have multiples.
As far as Clomid, the chances are less than 10% & it depends on if it makes you release more than one egg, but in vitro depends on the number of embryos transplanted (the more you transplant, the more likely you are to have more implant).

in jon and kate plus 8, they couldnt have any children at first. when they started taking the fertility drugs, they had twins! then after, sextuplets!
Sometimes it just depends…. my mother in law did the same thing and she had twins
