I know it isn’t right but I use my neighbors wireless signal and sometimes the signal is way too weak to do anything. My friend told me there is something to help with that but I don’t know what it is called.

you can build a larger antenna and hook that up, I’ve never tried that with wifi, but it works for my radios and other older wireless systems.
perhaps you have an old TV antenna in your attic that you can use? I know of those one guy in Irvine that has this huge (small airplane-sized) TV antenna. or was it for a amateur broadcast radio? anyway, with a large antenna or some kind of signal collection device mounted outside the house you can get a better signal.
otherwise, make sure there is nothing in your house that can block or distort a wireless signal- metal in the walls or around your workspace.
