How Do You Do Half Reactions For Elements?

I have a huge packet for chem hw and I need to write the half reaction for ions of lithium, strontium, phosphorus, iodine, and carbon. HELP!!

    P+0 + 3e- –> P-3
    Sr, I, C pro forma. However, C can assume any ionization state between -4 and +4, and of course both P+3 and P+5 are common, so you might want to consult your instructor about exactly what you’re expected to do here.
