does anyone know which 1 gram sample an element will uniformly fill a 2 liter container? The choices were sulfur, tellerium, antimony, and xenon.
Also, what did you say for the last question about how smoke particles cause a smoke detector to go off in terms of particles?

The answer is Xenon beause that is the only gas, and one of the unique properties of a gas is its ability to uniformly fill its surroundings, in this case the container. As for the smoke detector, I said that the alarm went off because the smoke interupted the flow of the ions (i took it directly from the passage they gave.
The answer was xenon b.c. the boiling point is less then that of water.
The answer to the last question was that the smoke interupted the flow of ions
i think that sulfur would uniformly fill a 2 liter container because in nature, it is found as S8, which is gas. gases take the shape of their container, so the container would be uniformly filled.
