What Should I Use To Glue A Key Together?

I have a key fob for my car and the key broke right at the fob. I can still insert the key into the fob and the key works but I would like to use a glue/adhesive to secure it. When I remove the key from the ignition I usually end up with the fob and I have to remove the key with my fingers and it’s harder than it sounds. Any ideas? A new fob and key would be very expensive so that’s out. Thanks

  1. Because the FOB is flexible there isn’t a glue that will hold it very long. That is why they heat bond it to the body of the key. SORRY.

Check with a locksmith about a replacement shell. If you can’t get a shell for your vehicle, replace the key or you will have much more expensive problems in the future.

  3. just a guess, but a super glue called “krazyglue” or “gorilla super glue”. i used krazyglue to put a mirror back on my truck.

  4. pony up the bucks and just replace the key…
Forget about doing it half a$$ed, you’ll just waste money and time.
